Terms and conditions of sales (Updated June 2019)
Loughborough Model Centre will ensure protection of your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you for our own use, and will not distribute or sell any information we have.
With ever order taken with Loughborough model centre, your name is added to our marketing database, you have the right to be removed from the database within the first mail you receive from us.
We collect, but do not store you’re credit/debit card details, but we do store the following information for our own marketing use.
- Your name and address
- Your telephone number
- Your email address
We hold information about customers to help speed up the order process for advanced/future orders. The personal information which we hold will be held securely. This does not include your payment details.

Returns & Refund Policy
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with any product you receive from us, please return it for exchange (if we have more in stock, we will always exchange in the first instance) or refund, (if no exchange is possible) within 14 days.
Refunds will only be issued, on faulty goods, that cannot be exchanged.
If a refund is requested on goods that can be exchanged, then post and packing charges will not be refunded.
P & P costs will not be refunded except on faulty goods. This is inline with the distance selling regulations 2000, which states that as a retailer, we must inform you that Postage and Package charges will not be refunded, without exception on non faulty items, before the sale/contract is made. (See above)
Pre order Policy.
We operate a pre-order policy.
We do not charge a deposit for this service, we aim to release models to pre order customers with 7 days of arrival into stock at Loughborough.
Loughborough Model Centre reserve the right to amend an advertised pre order price, only in such instance where the supplier/manufacturer has announced a new higher RRP for the item before its initial delivery to us. We will however endeavor to honour the price if the manufacturers increase is no higher than 5%.
Should we have to charge a higher price because of a Manufacturers RRP increase, it will be done on a pro-rata basis (i.e. if the manufacturers increase is 12% then ours will also be 12%, however we will absorb the first 5%, leaving an increase of just 7% to the customer).
If the Manufacturer should decrease the RRP on an item before its release date, then Loughborough Model Centre will also reduce our price by the % difference offered by the manufacturer/supplier on the original RRP.

Should The wrong postage be chosen, Loughborough Model Centre, will change to the correct postage means, and charge accordingly.
(ie if you have chosen 'pre order' when the item is actually in stock and should have chosen 1st/2nd class)
We aim to dispatch items as quickly as possible, (normally within 2-3 Days), but be aware that during busy periods, this can be extended to delivery within 28 days.
Please do not chase us for deliveries until a minimum 14 days has passed.
If express delivery is required, please use 1st class, and follow it up with an email to say the order is urgent, or call us and we can deal with it case by case.
If a postage charge has been advertised, and a subsequent increase in postage rates has been applied by our suppliers (Hermes or Royal Mail), we reserve the right to increase or postage rates accordingly (We will not contact you if the rate increase is 50p or less)
You may return any goods that may already have been dispatched up to 7 days from receipt (see return policy)
Please note when placing an order with us using our website, you are entering a legally binding contract of supply, with Loughborough Model Centre.
Any goods cancelled that have been order in specifically for that order will be subject to a 10% handling fee.
If an order is cancelled for any unreasonable reason, Loughborough model centre reserve the right to charge a £5 transaction cancellation fee to the customer account to cover the costs of the cancellation.
(Unreasonable reasons would include buying models from elsewhere, forgetting the model was on order with us, finding the model cheaper elsewhere etc..).
We will not accept order cancellations, once the order has been dispatched.
Loughborough Model Centre will not be responsible for unavailability of Pre Ordered Models due to short supply/deliveries from the Manufacturers. This short delivering is beyond our control, however we will try to source the models from elsewhere to fulfil the order.
Not every item shown on our website is held 'in stock', and we do not operate a 'Live Stock' system. This means there may be occasions that we have to order and item in to fulfil an order.
This can sometimes delay delivery times, but we would still aim to dispatch your order within 14 days maximum, however this may be extended during busy periods (See Postage notes above)
Very occasionally an item will be sold out. If so we will try our best to source the items for you, but failing that a full refund will be made as soon as we know we cannot get it.
We offer payment plans for both standard orders and pre orders over the value of £100.
The plan is very simple, once the order is placed, we will send you a 'Worldpay - Payment link' for 25% of the value of the order, which must be paid within 24hrs of the link being sent.
We will then send you 3 further links on the 1st of each following month for payments of 25% of the total order value.
After the 4th payment the order will be paid for and the goods will be sent (if it is a stock order) or dispatched as soon as they are released (If it is a Pre-Order). There is no charge for this service.
Should you default on payments, or cancel the plan after payments have been made, then a refund of money sent to us will be refunded minus a 10% fee to cover the 'Worldpay' Fees we have to pay on the payments and the time spent administrating the payments.
If there is more than one item on an order, the order will be grouped until all the items are ready for dispatch, as only one postage charge will have been added to the order. However you can have the items delivered individually if requested (Additional postage charges will be charged to cover this)
If you do not agree with these terms, then please do not use the service. We have made them as simple as possible.
